  • About Jane

Jane is a professional photographer and artist originally from the midwest, specializing in live concert and band photography. She has photographed artists such as Muse, The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Taking Back Sunday, Peaches, The Academy Is…, Kill Hannah, and more. She is an official photographer for buzznet.com, Doom! magazine, and notesfromthepit.com. She is also experienced as a professional artist, with her mediums ranging in both fine arts and digital arts as well.

Her parents realized she had a talent for drawing and the arts when she was in elementary school, entering and winning local arts shows through the VFW for 3 years in a row. It came to her intuitively, and is largely self taught. As the 90’s came to a close and the world of the internet became a household name, she taught herself adobe photoshop and later, adobe illustrator, gaining a respect for the new digital medium. After having her son in 2004, she went back to school and graduated in ‘07 with a degree in Visual Communications. Her love of photography didn’t develop until 2008, and she taught herself the ropes of digital photography at concerts after getting laid off of work in 2009 as her 20’s came to a close. After displaying her talent and passion for photographing live shows in small clubs and venues, Buzznet.com soon picked her up as a regular concert photographer, giving her many more opportunities to photograph many largely popular, major label bands and festivals. She has since started writing and shooting for both Doom! Magazine and Notesfromthepit.com.

When she’s not shooting and creating art, she’s into cooking, reading, graphic novels, networking, and watching a good horror flick. She loves Dexter, Tarantino films,  and The X-files, and is the single parent to one very smart and funny little boy.
